Our Story
ALYSSIA grew from the creative journey of its Founder and Creative Director, Lize Erasmus, whose fourteen years in the global bridal industry have shaped a unique vision, one rooted in purpose, artistry, and an unwavering love for the bridal fashion industry.
Her path began in Barcelona with one of the world’s largest bridal brands, where she spent eight years immersed in the world of luxury bridal fashion, gaining a deep understanding of the global bridal industry.
This experience opened doors to a long and inspiring relationship with an international design house, where she collaborated closely with their creative team, from styling editorial shoots in Turkey to joining the design team in Taipei, hand-selecting the final collections.
Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit, Lize later founded her own distribution business, representing an impressive portfolio of 8 global bridal brands and helping them reach brides across continents. Her journey also extended to retail, as the proud owner of two bridal boutiques in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa, she gained a deep understanding of both the wholesale and retail sides of the bridal industry. This rare perspective allows her to design not only with creative vision but with intimate awareness of what brides truly seek.
Most recently, she stepped into a Global Sales Director role, guiding and restructuring an international brand, refining its creative and commercial direction.
Our first collection, Eden’s Whisper, is a love letter to the modern bride, a woman unafraid to be different, bold enough to be herself, and deeply rooted in who she is. Every gown is a whisper of that truth, bold yet soft, timeless yet alive.
